Julia och Linnea är nu tillbaka med nytt
och fräscht material. Deras nya album
”Let our spirits burn” innehåller 12 låtar i
popgenren med inslag av rock och soul,
och den här gången är systrarna själva
med och skriver det mesta. För fyra år
sen släppte de sitt första egna album
”Time for a change” som fick mycket
uppskattning, inte minst för deras härliga
röster. Här kommer nu en värdig
uppföljare, och de som gillade den skivan
lär inte bli besvikna på den nya. Musiken är lite tuffare och modernare, och texterna
är rakare i sitt budskap.

Julia and Linnea are back with new and refreshing CD. The new CD, ”Let our Spirits Burn” contains 12 self-penned songs seasoned with pop, rock and soul. Their first release, four years ago, ”Time for a Change” was well received in Sweden, particularly for the girls wonderful singing. To those of you who loved and appreciated Julia and Linnea’s first CD, we can only promise you won’t be disappointed by their latest work. The music is modern and more aggressive and the lyrics go straight to the heart. Julia and Linnea have always felt strongly about the Christian message in their music, which is clearly expressed throughout their lyrics. The vision behind the album is that God will touch people through the music

Julia (24) and Linnea (22) are no newcomers to the Christian music scene in Sweden. They have been on the stage performing and singing since they were 2 and 4, together with the rest of their family, including their younger brother Gabriel and their parents Tomas and Ingela. At an early age the girls got to like the life of touring with the family. Their traveling took them all over Sweden, singing in churches, at summer retreats, festivals, retirement homes, and schools. Their interest in, and passion for singing, their audiences, and the Christian message kept them going year after year. They still sing occasionally with the family when schedules allow. During the past two years Julia and Linnea have been touring in Sweden with their own band, singing at many Christian youth concerts and events, including Rock the Globe and a second place finish in a national Swedish song contest – Artist ’99.

Even dancing has been an interest and both girls have taken part in several musical productions including “Grease, “A Chorus Line” and “Joseph”. They have sung in gospel choirs, traditional choirs, and even together with big band accompaniment.

Julia and Linnea have been involved in the recording of no less than 12 albums. Their first solo CD, “Time for a Change” was produced by the well-known Swedish producers, Frank Ådahl and Mårten Eriksson. The new CD is produced by Jonas Kahnberg and Johan Alkenäs, both from Örebro, Sweden. The new album has been very well received in Christian as well as profane press.
